Following a formal procurement process and careful consideration of available solutions, the IDC selected the market leading Rendezvous Workspace solution from Questek to enable searching, booking and managing of the various meeting venues within its Sandton offices.

The solution spans 60+ meeting venues, a quarter of which have Reserva door-side displays fully integrated into the Rendezvous software, clearly displaying which venues are available for ad-hoc meetings and which venues have been reserved.

The Rendezvous platform provides flexibility as to how meeting organisers access the Rendezvous platform to book the right space for their meetings – be it from their email and calendar platform, their smartphones, tablets, the door-side displays or the web interface.

The appropriate space and resources – catering, AV equipment and services – required for each meeting are all booked in one seamless process, from any of the system interfaces ensuring that all participants and service providers are notified of meeting details.

Andrew King of Questek Advanced Technologies commented that the Rendezvous system is an end-to-end Workspace Management solution where appropriate meeting spaces can easily be found and booked, with all service delivery managed centrally – promising considerable time, resource and space efficiency for the IDC.

This is phase one of the project at the IDC’s Sandton offices which could result in a national rollout through all IDC offices countrywide.

This order follows other successful installations of Rendezvous solutions at Investec, Norton Rose, PWC and The Innovation Hub.
